ช่วงปลายเดือนสิงหาคม 2567 อิทธิพลจากร่องมรสุมที่พาดผ่านภาคเหนือและภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศไทย รวมถึงตอนบนของประเทศลาวเข้าสู่หย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำที่ปกคลุมตอนบนของประเทศเวียดนาม อีกทั้งอิทธิพลจากแนวพัดสอบของลมตะวันออกเฉียงใต้และลมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ในระดับบนที่พัดปกคลุมพื้นที่ตอนบนของภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ประกอบ

กับมรสุมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ที่พัดปกคลุมทะเลอันดามัน ประเทศไทย และอ่าวไทยมีกำลังค่อนข้างแรง ส่งผลให้บริเวณประเทศไทยตอนบนมีฝนเพิ่มขึ้น โดยเฉพาะบริเวณภาคเหนือและภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ซึ่งทำให้เกิดน้ำท่วมในหลายพื้นที่ ทั้งนี้รวมถึงภาคใต้ฝั่งตะวันตกที่มีฝนตกหนักถึงหนักมากเกิดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องทุกวันในช่วงเวลาดังกล่าว โดยเฉพาะจังหวัดภูเก็ตที่มีฝนตกหนัก

ต่อเนื่อง ทำให้ดินอุ้มน้ำไว้เป็นจำนวนมาก ประกอบกับคุณสมบัติของดินบริเวณดังกล่าวสามารถเคลื่อนตัวได้ง่าย อีกทั้งสภาพภูมิประเทศที่เป็นพื้นที่ลาดชันบนภูเขา ปัจจัยทั้งหมดนี้ส่งผลให้เกิดดินถล่มลงสู่พื้นที่ด้านล่างถึง 2 ครั้ง ใน อ.เมืองภูเก็ต เมื่อวันที่ 23 และ 28 สิงหาคม 2567 เป็นเหตุให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตหลายราย

In late August 2024, the influence of the monsoon trough lying across the North and Northeast of Thailand and upper Laos into the low-pressure area over upper Vietnam, accompanied by the convergence zone of the southeasterly and southwesterly winds at upper levels prevailing over the upper northern region, and the rather strong southwest monsoon prevailing over

the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, led to increased rainfall in the upper parts of Thailand, particularly in the North and the Northeast that caused flooding in several areas. This included the western coast of the South where heavy to very heavy rain occurred continuously during this period, especially in Phuket Province where continuous

heavy rain caused soil to become saturated, combined with soil properties in the affected area that made it prone to movement, and the steep terrain on the mountainside. All these factors caused landslides that occurred twice in Mueang Phuket District on 23 and 28 August 2024, which caused many fatalities.

ทั้งนี้ บริเวณจังหวัดภูเก็ตที่มีฝนตกหนัก ตรวจวัดปริมาณฝนได้มากกว่า 35 มิลลิเมตรต่อวัน ประกอบด้วย 1) อ.เมืองภูเก็ต ที่ ต.กะรน ต.ฉลอง ต.ตลาดใหญ่ 2)

อ.กะทู้ ที่ ต.กะทู้ ต.กมลา 3) อ.ถลาง ที่ ต.เทพกระษัตรี ต.สาคู ต.ศรีสุนทร ต.ป่าคลอก ต.ไม้ขาว โดยที่บ้านกะรน ต.กะรน อ.เมืองภูเก็ต มีฝนตกมากที่สุดถึง 177.5

มิลลิเมตรต่อวัน ในวันที่ 22 สิงหาคม 2567 รองลงมาคือที่บ้านบางหวาน ต.กมลา อ.กะทู้ ตรวจวัดปริมาณฝนได้ 154 มิลลิเมตร เมื่อวันที่ 27 สิงหาคม 2567

In Phuket Province, areas that experienced heavy rain, measuring more than 35 millimeters per day, included 1) Mueang Phuket District in the sub-districts of Karon, Chalong, and Talad Yai; 2) Kathu District in the

sub-districts of Kathu and Kamala; 3) Thalang District in the sub-districts of Thep Krasatti, Sakhu, Sri Sunthon, Pa Khlok, and Mai Khao. The highest rainfall was recorded at Ban Karon Village, Karon Sub-district, Muang

Phuket District, measuring up to 177.5 millimeters per day on 22 August 2024, followed by Ban Bang Wan Village, Kamala Sub-district, Kathu District with rainfall of 154 millimeters per day on 27 August 2024.

จากเหตุการณ์ดินถล่มที่เกิดขึ้นในครั้งแรกเมื่อวันที่ 23 สิงหาคม 2567 กรมป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัยได้รายงานความเสียหายจากอุทกภัย ณ วันที่ 24 สิงหาคม 2567 เวลา 18.00 น. โดยระบุว่าจังหวัดภูเก็ตเกิดฝนตกหนัก ทำให้มีเหตุการณ์น้ำท่วมและดินสไลด์ในพื้นที่ 1 อำเภอ 3 ตำบล 9 หมู่บ้าน ประกอบด้วย ต.ฉลอง ต.กะรน ต.ราไวย์ อ.เมืองภูเก็ต เบื้องต้นพบว่า บ้านเรือนประชาชนได้รับผลกระทบ 209 ครัวเรือน มีผู้เสียชีวิต 13 ราย เป็นหญิง 8 ราย

(สัญชาติไทย 2 ราย สัญชาติ รัสเซีย 1 ราย สัญชาติเมียนมา 5 ราย) และเป็นชาย 5 ราย (สัญชาติรัสเซีย 1 ราย สัญชาติเมียนมา 4 ราย) นอกจากนี้ยังมีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บ 19 ราย ต่อมากรมป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัยได้รายงานความเสียหายจากเหตุการณ์ฝนตกหนัก น้ำป่าไหลหลาก ดินสไสด์ และวาตภัยที่ภูเก็ตอีกครั้งในวันที่ 28 สิงหาคม 2567 เวลา 18.00 น. โดยได้เกิดเหตุการณ์ในพื้นที่ 3 อำเภอ 5 ตำบล 7 หมู่บ้าน ประกอบด้วย ต.รัษฎา อ.เมืองภูเก็ต

ต.เทพกระษัตรี ต.เชิงทะเล อ.ถลาง ต.กมลา อ.กะทู้ ในเบื้องต้น มีบ้านเรือนประชาชนได้รับผลกระทบจำนวน 10 ครัวเรือน นอกจากนี้ ยังเกิดน้ำท่วมผิวการจราจรในหลายเส้นทาง ได้แก่ ถนนดีบุก ถนนหลวงพ่อ ซอยสามกอง ถนนสายบ้านใหญ่-บ้านดอน ถนนบ้านดอน-ทุ่งเสือขวน ซอยสาคู 4 และ 7 เส้นทางลัดออกสนามบิน บ้านดอน บ้านนาสร้อย ทั้งนี้ไม่มีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บหรือเสียชีวิต

Regarding the first landslide event on 23 August 2024, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported damage from flooding on 24 August 2024 at 06:00 p.m., stating that Phuket Province received heavy rain causing flooding and landslides in 1 district, 3 sub-district, 9 villages, including Chalong, Karon, Rawai sub-districts in Mueang Phuket District. Initially, there were 209 affected households

with 13 fatalities, including 8 females (2 Thai, 1 Russian, 5 Myanmar) and 5 males (1 Russian, 4 Myanmar), and 19 injuries. Afterwards, DDPM reported further damage from heavy rain, flash floods, landslides, and windstorms in Phuket Province on 28 August 2024 at 06.00 p.m., indicating that the situation occurred in 3 districts, 5 sub-districts, and 7 villages, including Ratsada Sub-district, Muang Phuket District; Thep

Krasattri Sub-district, Choeng Thale Sub-district, Thalang District; Kamala Sub-district, Kathu District. Initially, 10 households were affected. Additionally, flooding occurred on several roads, including Deebuk Road, Luang Pho Road, Soi Sam Kong, Banyai-Bandon Road, Bandon-Thung Suea Kuan Road, Soi Saku 4 and 7, shortcut from the airport, Bandon, Bannasoi. There were no injuries or fatalities reported in this incident.
